A series of investigative reports in the Los Angeles Times beginning in May 2018 uncovered the three decade long sexual abuse scandal involving USC gynecologist Dr. George Tyndall. These stories led to a series od reports in local and national print and broadcast media. International coverage of the scandal has centered on China due to the large number of Chinese student allegedly molested by Dr. Tyndall.
Media coverage of the USC Tyndall scandal led to the firings of high ranking USC administrators and the announcement that USC President Max Nikias would step down.
